Mental Health in the Workplace: The Journey to building healthier and stronger organizations
In this final session for 2018 of the Healthy Workplace Series, you will learn about Excellence Canada’s framework to support organizations in creating workplaces that are healthier and stronger. You’ll learn about what’s important in building the framework, the strategic approach including the four key drivers as well as hearing about actual best practices implemented in various Canadian organizations.
In addition to this, you’ll hear from two organizations on their wellness journeys and best practices that have been very popular with each of their workforces. Both of these organizations (CAMH and Manulife) have introduced unique initiatives that have increased engagement and productivity within their organizations.
Creating a Healthy Workplace and a culture of safety and wellness with a focus on mental health is no small feat for these two large organizations. CAMH will share its experience implementing ‘Safe and Well CAMH’, the hospital’s top strategic priority, an initiative focused on staff safety and quality of work life and patient safety and quality of care. Manulife will share some of the key aspects of their journey including the $10,000 Mental Health benefit and other wellness initiatives.
